Adopted slum children enjoyed “ball in the basket” competition. Later, volunteers distributed clay and guided them in a creative session, helping each child shape the material into their own unique teddy bear , flower etc. followed by the prize distribution they also enjoyed fruit juice.

NSS Unit, Surendranath College along with Hindol organised a health camp where Dr.Ayan Das MBBS,Pediatrician provided check ups for 35 slum children with necessary medicines and diet charts to combat malnutrition and promote overall well being of these adopted slum children.

The NSS unit of Surendranath College organized a blood group screening test at a school of chota Gurudwara near adopted slum on Cotton Street.Dr.Susanta Kumar Patra also raised awareness on maintaining hygiene in daily life. Total 24 children were successfully screened and offered small refreshment.

March 30, 2025
The NSS unit of Surendranath College organized one day tour to Alipore jail museum of Kolkata for educational and recreational purpose for the elder children of adopted slum. Total 20 including children & NSS volunteers were visited and gained valuable insights on India’s freedom fighters and ancient past of India. Towards vikshit bharat this is a small initiative to motivate them.

March 31, 2025
Surendranath College NSS unit held special camp certificate distribution event for the NSS volunteers. Simultaneously, Volunteers distributed fruits among adopted slum children and women to combat malnutrition and celebrated Eid with in the slum, fostering community spirit and well-being.
